PRIVACY POLICY All personal information collected by Learning Partners is protected by the provisions of The Privacy Act. Any information obtained is used only for the purposes for which it was provided. Under its national reporting obligations Learning Partners may be required to supply information to Government agencies for statistics, research or program evaluations. No other disclosure will be made without the permission of the provider. Learning Partners takes all reasonable steps to protect the security of information held whether stored in electronic or hard copy form. Access is available to the person whose information is held by Learning Partners unless specifically excluded by statute. Clients need to be made aware of the importance that Learning Partners places on privacy matters. This information should be advised to the client on signups and is incorporated in Learning Partners’ enrolment forms. SECURITY AND CONFIDENTIALITY OF RECORDS All trainee files, records and certificate records will be held in a secure place. To maintain confidentiality trainees must provide permission for their files to be accessed by a third party or for information to be given to others. A 'Permission to Release Personal Details' form must be completed by all trainees/students/clients. Two computers have been dedicated to Records Management – Financial & Student Records. Each is password protected. AVETMISS All programs that are federally or state funded must be recorded in compliance with AVETMISS Standards. Learning Partners has an electronic data base management system which is AVETMISS compliant. All trainee and training information will be recorded on Learning Partners’ Enrolment Form. The forms are to be copied for the individual’s file, the original is to be retained by Administration. |
